Ideas for Creative Wedding Ceremony Decor

There are many aspects that come together to make your wedding special and memorable. One important part of your big day is the wedding ceremony decor. While many aspects of your wedding are traditional and don't require a lot of creativity, the decor is one area where you can express yourself. The first part of choosing your decor is picking a location. A church is the traditional wedding location, but not the only choice out there. You can get married most anywhere, from a sandy beach to a rustic lodge. Once you know where you will be tying the knot you can start making the actual decor choices.

Part of choosing the decor is choosing your wedding colors. Most brides select two wedding colors, or sometimes three. You might select your favorite colors. Or, you might have one color that is your favorite and one color that is the groom's favorite. Another idea is to choose colors that reflect the season in which you are being wed. For example, a spring wedding is perfect for light pastels and sunny shades. A summer wedding is a great time for tropical bright shades. In fall, go for warm autumn shades like pumpkin orange. In winter you can go holiday with red and green or snowy with shades of midnight blue, white and silver.

Another part of decorating for your wedding is choosing the table centerpieces. If you have a theme, this can be quite simple. For example, a beach theme would lend itself perfectly to centerpieces featuring shells and sand. For a holiday or winter theme, use snowglobes as centerpieces. If you don't have a theme or even if you do, you cannot go wrong with tasteful floral arrangements on the tables. Your flowers should coordinate with your wedding colors, as should other decorations like balloons and streamers.

There are many different ways to be creative when it comes to your wedding ceremony decor. You may choose to decorate your wedding location with a few accent pieces or go all out and use a lot of decorations. You will find lots of books that are filled with color photographs of wedding decorations. You might also want to browse through some bridal magazines and catalogs to see which decorations you like the best. Many couples work with a wedding planner who can help you design and plan your special day from start to finish.
